Frequently Asked Questions

Common questions about interior concrete floors

Yes. Interior floors are one of the few concrete jobs we can do year-round. Inside an enclosed, heated building the slab cures properly regardless of the weather outside, so winter is a great time to get a shop or warehouse floor done without waiting for spring.
Most interior floors get a smooth steel-trowel (power-trowel) finish that is easy to sweep, roll carts across, and seal or coat later. We can also do a light broom finish for traction in wash bays or animal buildings.
Typical residential garage and shop floors are 4 inches thick. Floors that will see heavy equipment, trucks, or lifts are usually 5 to 6 inches with rebar or wire mesh. We recommend the right thickness after seeing your building and how you plan to use it.
Yes. We coordinate drains, sleeves, and radiant heat tubing before the pour so everything is set at the correct elevation and the floor slopes properly to the drain.
You can walk on it the next day, park light vehicles after about 7 days, and load it with heavy equipment after 28 days when the concrete reaches full strength.
